This article outlines the application process for a chapter leader, whether they are a new or returning leader.
1) The new or returning leader should submit the required application here. Take note that new leaders will be asked to submit a video portion along with their written application. They'll be asked to record video responses to the following questions:
- How did you become involved in YCP and what does our tagline “Working in Witness for Christ” means to you?
- Describe your personal and professional background
- What unique skills and value would you bring to the YCP leadership team to help advance our mission to inspire modern day saints?
Returning leaders do not have to submit a video and their form is very brief in comparison.
2) Once an application is received, both National and the Chapter President need to approve. The chapter President will be notified of the leadership applications by email. A Chapter President will need to share with National whether or not they approve of the candidate for their team, and if approved, what role on the team they'd like that leader to hold. 3) Once National and the chapter President have approved, National will welcome the new leader via email with steps on how the new leader can set up their YCP account, Slack and access other YCP platforms. The chapter President will be copied on this email so they can welcome the leader from their end too. If a returning leader is confirmed, they will also receive a re-welcome email.
